hello, everyone! i hope you all had a wonderful christmas and new year, i know i did! i love spending time with my family, and mummy and daddy gave me a whole big stack of presents! i feel so sorry for you people who don't have your mummy or daddy with you at the moment. really i do! i'm sure they'll be ok though. isn't it strange that it's 1998 already! i made some new year resolutions, here they are:
1) always get my muggle studdies essays in on time! i don't want one of those nasty letters that so many of you seem to be getting.
2) be nicer to my sister! she's not a very nice person really, so she deserves it when i call her names, but i do feel so terrible about it!
3) play with toto more! he does me terribly when he's in the owlery!
4) make more treats! i want to leave more goodies around the slytherin common room for everyone!
something scary happened the other day! i went to diagon alley to top up on my school supplies and there were lots of people there without wands! i think they must be those horrible people the ministry say have been stealing magic. some of them tried to steal my wand and i even had to kick one who got a bit violent! none of the mudbloods muggle-borns who are missing from school were there, so i'm sure they're all fine! it's just the ones that have actually been stealing magic that get their wands taken away, i'm sure! also, a woman sold me a potion, and when i drink it then nobody can steal my magic. i haven't drunk it though, because it only lasts for a couple of weeks and we're all going back to school tomorrow, and nobody there would want to steal my magic because they have their own! i might save it for easter, or maybe the summer holidays. i've also just looked at the daily prophet, and it's so shocking because i walked past madam malkin's when i was shopping, and everything looked normal! i just can't believe it, it's so horrible! i suppose she should have followed the rules, though. nobody would die if they didn't break the rules.
also, it was my birthday yesterday! so i'm 17 and of age now, hooray!!! mummy made a delicious dinner and i think i had a little too much butterbeer! i might have a little party when we get back to school but as professor snape doesn't seem to like rowdy parties, this will be a very civilised affair with tea and cake. how lovely!

i really didn't know any of that about harry potter! i'm quite scared to sleep now, he might come storming up to the castle and kill us all in our beds! i'm so glad that professor carrow and professor carrow seem like they are going to protect us! i'm sure i can sleep better knowing that!
if i could sleep, of course. it's rather loud tonight! and i know it's not my housemates because it's not coming from the common room or any of the dorms. who's down in the dungeons? and will you please go away so i can get some sleep?!

hello hogwarts, i have some juicy gossip! it turns out ginny weasley is a big fat lesbian! it was horrible, i was just going about my business like a good student, and she snogged me! right after she froze me so i couldn't get away! how disgusting! no wonder that harry potter boy has run away if his girlfriend is a lesbian! i was telling everyone in the common room about it today, and a fourth year suggested that all of gryffindor are of the homosexual persuasion. i don't think that's true, because i remember when andrew forgot to charm that entry private and wrote about all the girls he wanted to have sex with! but i don't think professor dumbledore is going to get any angel friends soon, because ginny weasley is clearly going to hell, as is harry potter because he had relations with a lesbian, perpetua perkins because she called me fat for no reason, and zacharias smith of course!
anyway, i am really looking forward to quidditch on saturday! go slytherin! good luck team, if you win then i am going to give each of you a big kiss!

just to set the record straight, i did not poison the pie!!! i gave it to andrew because i was trying to help even though he made me cry but because i said i would in the journals, somebody probably read it who didn't want me to give the pie to anybody else!!
also i think that giving the pie to other people is very out of order and everyone should stop trying to poison each other!
now that's out the way we can all be happy and we can all be friends again!

have you poor people had any luck finding some food yet? i'm going to recommend the steak, if you find some, it's so tasty! and medium rare, just how i like it! i'm sure there'll be enough for all you poor, poor people, though! just keep looking!

do you know what, hogwarts, i do believe that zacharias smith wasn't hugged much as a child! i know everybody's been trying to hug him lately but i've been trying the longest, so i thought today that i should double my efforts! i saw him in the corridor today and i went to give him a big hug but i don't think it worked! he was horrible. he made a very rude noise that you shall never hear from my mouth because i am a lady, and then he made me let go! however, what perpetua was saying about him not having genitals cannot be true because i'm sure i felt something on my thigh. it was disgusting, i had to scrub myself for ages in the shower! i don't think that zacharias is going to be an angel in heaven with professor dumbledore when he dies.
i've noticed that everyone is looking forward to hogsmeade, and i am too! i think i want some more sugar quills from honeydukes, and i might send an owl to mr and mrs smith, telling them to hug zacharias more! i would send toto but he's a bit small to make a long journey, and you know what, last time i went to feed him and play with him a little there seemed to be a few more empty perches! i'd rather not risk anything happening, i am rather attached to him!

good afternoon hogwarts! it's a very lovely day, don't you agree? i just love days like this, with the autumn sun streaming in through the windows. it's weather like this that make me wish the slytherin common room has windows, so we could all enjoy it without having to relocate. but, you know what? i think our common room can be very impressive, so maybe windows would ruin it after all! i'm very depressed with this latest muggle studies esssay, aren't you? it's so horrible to have to write about how people are bad, i'd much rather write about witches and wizards being good instead! to think i dropped astronomy for this, i always quite enjoyed looking at the stars and picking out constellations, and making up my own for fun! i'm pretty sure i saw professor dumbledore's face up there when i was stargazing over the summer holidays, so i really believe that he's up there. like an angel. isn't that a lovely thought? that's put me in the mood to whip up some angel cakes now, or maybe some cookies shaped like angels! who would like some, i'm feeling generous! vincent and gregory, i will make you a whole batch just for you, ok?
